I just came across this clever thing called Bye Bye Standby. Has anyone else seen this?

I put it in this sub-forum as expect many of you have plenty of devices which all sit there 24hrs a day, either on or on standby. TV's, pre amps, power amps, subs, HTPC's etc etc. This could save you a bit on those increasing leccy bills.
It costs about £20 for the pack with 1 remote and 3 plugs, good for loads of devices if you use multiple plug socket things.
There's even an add-on which lets you control in all from anywhere online

When they no longer need to use these appliances, such as when they are out or asleep, a single button can be pressed which physically disconnects the wasteful appliance so it no longer consumes energy. I got a set of these free from my bank when i moved house and i must say they are pretty useful especially if your plug sockets are hard to reach.

That's one of the benefits. I watch most of my movies at my best friends house where the home cinema wiring is tucked way behind amp.

I'd also have it hooked up to a lamp or 2 to pop them on and off as I please.
