Bye Midway....

Probably because they were known more for their coin-op related stuff rather than anything they've published for home video gaming.

I spent a fortune on coin-op Smash TV back in the day!

But who goes to arcades infact the only arcade near me is the one inside the ten pin bowling centre and they are a rip off £1 for about 2 minutes, you have to move with the times, arcade machines were popular because of the price of consoles.

console prices havent changed. the hardware, however, has. i still love arcade games but there's no atmosphere there now that we live in this culture of armchair gaming - nobody is interested in arcade games.

Was I referring to current times? I havent been in an arcade for years mate lol. Obviously no one goes to arcades now but when I was a kid growing up in the late 80's & early 90's they were jam packed. If you wanted to play the coolest games on the best hardware you'd head to the arcades!
