Bypassing CCC Limits

Just got a Msi Frozr ii 6950 2gb. Installed and added the ati preview battlefield 3 driver but i can only overclock the core 40mhz in ccc.

Is there a hack or something i can change to get around this. I downloaded afterburner but that has the same limit.

As far as I'm aware you can do it in afterburner. But first you need to edit the config file.

go into your afterburner folder and find the file in the profiles folder called "MSIAfterburner.CFG" and open it in word pad or similar.

navigate to the line
EnableUnofficialOverclocking = 0
and change the 0 to a 1.

this should allow you to bypass the limit.

failing that.you can also use sapphire trix.it's what im useing seems to be ok

Early days in my testing of this card but so far got a 90mhz overclock out of the core without even touching the vid which seems fine at 1.1 but can go as high as 1.325 apprently. Temps havent broke 59 yet. Looks like i might have a great card here.

Gonna have to try for the 1ghz core speed. Anyone else with a 6950 msi twin frozr ii done that?
