Bypassing Win XP Activation

Hi

Just messed atround with some hardware on my PC - adding and moving some drives around. I had some problems in Win XP seeing network adapters so I did a system restore but now its asking for XP to be activated which I cant do as I'm not connected to the internet and can't bypass using (F8) SAFE mode.

Is there any way to get passed this?

I would take a wild stab in the dark here, but wouldn't you think the entire point in avtivation is that you CAN'T get around it, not to mention the legality of it. XP can be activated over the phone.
