Hello all,

I've been tasked with finding a new TV for a grandfolk. Price and size in title. He would want some smart features such as netflix.

I've had a look around the web but I'm very much out of my depth when it comes to TVs and would appreciate some guidance.

Thanks :)

I asked exactly the same thing a week or two ago and the Samsung UE40MU6400 was the winner.
Thanks for the reply. Well the two we were looking at were that and the LG 43UJ670V.

I think we've decided on to LG due to it having freeview play. It's for my granddad who won't have sky or anything, so the better we can make the core experience the better.

If I'm wrong I'll be happily corrected, but otherwise my dad's picking up the LG for him later.

Either of those will be fine, although I think they will find the LG interface easier. I think that model does come with the magic remote as well so they can voice search too.

I had a hard line at 40" if you can go bigger it opens up some more interesting options so I would definitely consider other models, freeview play is great for the parents!
