C&C 3 TW not working.

Hi, well I'm trying to play C&C 3 Tiberium Wars in Vista, but it just comes up with C&C3.EXE Has Stopped working message, this also happenes to the patcher when I try, says C&C 3 Tiberium Wars launcher has stopped working :confused:

Any ideas whats wrong here?

there's your problem.
 
Might try re installing, I've got CoH to play with atm tho, but that too had its problems like 5fps.
 
installed earlier to play around on, worked wonders. try uninstalling it then restarting, ccleaning reg's then reinstall, if all else fails, reinstal drivers.... you know, basic routine.

Shouldn't be Vista causing the problem as it works ok for me with the latest patch, have you tried running it in XP compatibility mode?

that's a bit lame tbh. Most stuff including this work fine under Vista. It's a Games for Windows branded title fgs. It's been designed with Vista in mind.

IF that's true, it makes a mockery of the Games for Windows branding as 64 bit is supposed to be supported natively.

I'm using 32bit Vista, felt no reason to install 64bit.

I'm looking at my game case right now, and it doesn't have Games for Windows anywhere on it.
 
I've got it working now, but I cant get my save to work, were abouts are the save games stored? I've got on in My Documents, but the problem is C&C3 cant seem to find it, so I went and created a new profile, but it's not in the folder in my Documents so I dont know were the profiles are stored :confused:
 
i had this

need to run the install programme as administrator i seem to recall

right click on setup.exe on the CD (or whatever its called) and click "run as admininistrator"

this only happens if you have UAC. i take it most people on here have disabled it then ? lol

I have it disabled.

But yea, got the game working fine now, just I cant get my profile to work in C&C3 anymore :confused:
