C & C Generals and Zero hour screen resolution

Guys

I have decided on a little Old School gaming so installed C&C generals and Zero hour .

Having windows 7 64 bit insalled I have had to play around with the options.ini file but have managed to get both games working fine.

However since the games were developed screen res has noved on and I would like to play at my native 1900x1200 screen res .

My GPU is an ATI 5870 running 10.4's but evrytime i try and force the screen res through either the start up command or through the options I get this message.

My direct X is as upto date as it can be , please help :rolleyes:

not tried it on win7 but changing the resolution through the .ini file works fine for me on xp.

Try running it in XP compatibility mode + administrator mode

Win7 comes without Dx9 installed, have you downloaded & installed it manually?

Works on 7 too.

I think 1280x960 is as high as the game goes if I remember right. It is quite old now. Try 1024x768 in the ini file just to be on the safe side.

Resolution = 1600 1200

Best game ever! Put whatever you need in the ini, scales very well.
