c & c generals error

Hi guys,
Eveytime i play this game, after a bout 30 mins of use the game crashes to desktop.
I have a 3800x2 and 2 x 6800gt. I think it is down to sli configuration and have turned it off, i also think it may be because i am using 2 processors. Can anyone tell my how to run just this game with only one?

are your running 2 actually processors or just a dual core processor?

Just for future reference, what was the problem and how did you fix it?

I suspected that, due to the age of the game, it might have problems running on a dual core system.

I used task manager and right-clicked on the game.exe and set the affinity to just one core and all is working fine now
