C&C Generals Zero Hour wont run

Hi there, have had a quick search and couldnt find any threads on this so here goes.

Have just decided to go and try Generals and Zero Hour for a bit as havent played them since i upgraded to the spec in sig.

However i have run into a small problem. When i install Generals it goes fine, then click on the update game option in the autorun box and it updates fine. After this i run the game and it loads up no problems.

So i then put in the Zero Hour disk, install it etc and run the update like above but for Zero Hour. Once it has finished updating, i run the game, it patches it- then nothing.

The splash screen appears for about 10secs, then it disappears and nothing loads. I have tried doing this with task manager open in the processes tab, generals.exe shows up, then it just disappears.

Has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone know how to fix this.

Nah, is in XP.

What i dont understand is why Generals ran fine but as soon as i updated it to Zero Hour it refuses to run.

i think it takes a little longer on its first run...so maybe give it 5 mins or so.....see if that helps


never had any problems with zero hour myself
 
The thing is leave it, as read on a few other forums, and nothing happens, and i am wondering as well because the process in Task Manager disappears too

Will give it another go tomorrow but dont hold out much hope, will just have to stick with C&C 3.

just try a crack and see if that helps

never tried one on zero hour ..i just mount a small image...saves putting the disk in but sometimes cracks work wonders
