C&C Red Alert 3 Trailer

I feel underwhelmed by that trailer really. It does look fun again, but i'm getting a faint sence of it trying to be like starcraft2 with it's red alert twist on gameplay and units.

I want to love this game but i see another cnc3 ind of failure, fun and seeming going back to what series wants, but after a while of playing noticing that it's just a stale game.

I'm hoping the fact that the gameplay will be a bit slower than the fastpaced lots of cash C&C3, and that it should be more balanced due to a public beta will mean it's more of a success.

looks great...im just hoping the strategy side hasnt been dumbed down.
even though redalert 1/2/yuri's have probably been my favourite games of all time im still not sure about this....the series just hasnt been the same since EA took over....but atleast they are continuing it which is the main thing.

It should be pretty cheap to pick up RA1 and RA2 with their expansions. They're both great games and you'd be up on the plot line before the next game.

There's a big pack called Command and Conquer: The First Decade which I'd recommend getting if he hasn't got many of the games in the series. It's currently in stock at a famous high street retailer which was forced to change it's name after getting laid.

Personally I've found that RA has aged pretty badly, but RA2+Yuri are OK (played them in co-op a couple of years back).

Looks good to me :)

I disagree that the series has gone bad since EA, I think it's gone bad since it got a 3D makeover. Saying that though, I quite enjoyed C&C3.

Trailer looked great, units seem very futuristic, not sure I'm going to like that. They also seem to have put in what looks like the tomahawk launcher from Generals. :o

Oo.....that looks good. I always did prefer the RA games to the ones in the Tiberium universe.

There were already units of the same kind in RA2 - namely the Soviet V3 launcher and the Dreadnought ;)

I know, but the unit in Red Alert 3 looks exactly like the Tomahawk Launcher.

Well RA is 12 years old now, that's a long time for a computer games.
