Feeling a bit nostalgic and want to replay RA's single player mode.

I know it was made free online a while back, but I am not sure which site to trust to download it from. The download.com link is dead (as are others) and a few sites only don't include the campaigns.

Anyone know a trustworthy site I could still get it from?

Might give RA2 a go as well, but will probably need to buy+download that somewhere.

You can get First Decade for £6.28 which has 17 games and activates on Origin. Thats what I did awhile back (I've no idea what works and doesn't on Win 7 / 8 / 10 though)

Thanks. The SOviet link is dead but allied is ok.

I have also found that searching for Command and Conquer Gold brings better results. I used to have that one; released free by EA, modified, for the 12 year anniversary.

Something similar on Origin atm, but for £25. If all fails, will wait for a sale.

C&C Ultimate Edition £7.99 at cdkeys. (Also not sure if some of them will work on W 7/8/10)

I would recommend this but I have it and all games worked fine at first but when I went back to them after a while some wouldn't load all I got was a quick splash screen then nothing. This was on win 7,8 and also 10. EA support couldn't help and until this day I still haven't found a solution bar to have to resort to playing a copy version of games I legally own :(

You can play it for nada in a browser.

Props go to the person who posted it here last year.

*edit Ra2 is or was available for free on origin.

yeah, saw that but it's multiplayer only. I was after campaigns. But thanks to AHarvey, I got the Allied Disc image so will burn that at some point.

Also picked up RA2 for under £3 on Ebay so hopefully can run it on compatibility mode. RA2 was free on Origin at some point. Their free games rotate regularly. Got MoH: Pacific Assault at the weekend.

Origin should really do what Steam have done with Age of Empires 2...release it fully compatible with modern OS's and introduce achievements etc. Since Steam have done that, my friends and me who are huge fans of AoE play online weekly and still do LAN parties a few times a year, much to the annoyance of their respective wives.

Thanks all so far.

Yep I brought them all for £7 or similar back in the day and all they would do is load the splash screen and then stop and no answers found online so gave up.
