With C&C3 coming out soon, I decided I would try working my way through the C&C universe's storyline to at least have some idea of what is going on. Having had the games since they came out, I played skirmish missions/covert ops missions all the way through, and only really skimmed the campaign - I thought I'd played a lot of it but I doubt I have.
The problem is that neither game works. The original C&C (in the first decade pack) works well up until certain missions which crash if units walk within certain areas of the map... which I absolutely need to get to (tiberium needs to be mined
).
Tiberian Sun simply crashes randomly just as Red Alert 2 does. I think the engine might be to blame, they use the same one (or roughly).
Either way I understand the story was told using FMV in the games. What I am wondering is whether I could extract the FMV and watch it from start to finish or whether that still wouldn't give me what I want. In fact, I am not even sure how I'd go about recovering the FMV. Is there any solution for me?
