Hey, I just recently bought the game, installation went fine and all the games are working besides Generals and Zero Hour. I found that the game would refuse to load on the desktop loading screen before the game starts.

I got a Technical difficulties error/Serious error regarding that it could be a virus, hardware incapabilities and hardware overheating. I've checked all these issues and there is no problem.

I looked at an error report on the game when I started it up found in the documents folder titled "ReleaseCrashInfo"

Below is the entire text inside the text document.

Can anybody offer some clarification on this as it is driving me insane and have found no solution. I have checked admin access, reinstalled, patched the game and the game disc reads fine.

Please help. Thanks.

Hmm, if it's running as an admin, try running in compatability mode as well for xp or lower.

Unfortunately I've tried this but it still crashes. I am seriously lost with this, I've tried every solution I found and nothing has worked.

I can run games like Starcraft 2 no problem at all on ultra settings.

I seem to remember something like this vaguely from a long time ago. Had it installed for years on loads of PCs now.

I think I solved it by not installing the game on hard drive C but on an external drive. At least I thnk that was it. Wish I could remember clearer.

Anyways, I've got it installed on an external USB drive and it works for me.

Hope this helps.
