many moons ago i stumbled upon a high res pack, just wondering if anyone can link me as im not having much luck

one of the best rts games, i know 1680x1050 is a bit hopeful but something above 640x480 would go down very nicely :)

I'm playing Tiberian Sun at the moment, looks great at 1680x1050! Just edit the sun.ini file to set your resolution. There's just so much screen to play with. :)

This man speaketh the truth. Just make sure that you've gone into the options in game and changed a video setting, otherwise there might not be a sun.ini.

I just ran the game once, actually started a mission, to generate the sun.ini file. :)

Installed Tib Sun yesterday and ran it at 1680x1050 - everything is tiny lol. Almost get the whole map on the screen :D

i remember do this a few years ago on a 19" screen. i then went back to my laptop without changing the settings.

I'm surprised i could even play it at default settings, you can hardly see anything.

now i wonder.... what will it look like on my 22" wide screen....

wow thats nice :D i remember ages and ages ago when i finially got C&C TS to work because it didnt used to run because of a directx cd drive or soemthing :p cant rememebr the exat problem, but when i used to go to computer fairs with my dad i saw an add on cd for like £2 so bought it and it had screen savers, mods, tools, themes, was really cool :D amazing being able to build an army of 20 mamoth mk.II tanks instead of the one :p

wasnt the pace of tib sun fairly slow ? or was it just my computer back then ?
i seem to remember it being slower paced which had slightly put me off the game....even though i wouldnt mind playing it over a network again.
old times ...good memories

If you're going to get into the older C&C's then I recommend getting 'The First Decade' as it's under £20 and contains all 12 of the C&C games between 1996 and 2006 (that's all of them except C&C 3). It's worth it for the convenience, if you had all the games seperatly you would have about 17 CD's plus the TFD makes the older games work on modern OS's.

Well seeing that no one else has said it yet....It looks a bit dated now :D
But as someone else mentioned, great memories. Kept me up till many an o'clock in the morning.

Huge thanks for that! didn't know you could change the resolution in the .ini Sadly it didn't let me go up to 2560x1600 but even at 1650x1050 it looks amazing!

Top job.
