So I got a new pc and decide to install this game for a mess around.

However, it won't work. Generals does... but zero hour won't.

I had to set affinity to 1 core to get Generals do work but zero hour just closes post splash screen....
 
i believe its a graphics problem, try your drivers.

I had a similar problem, as have a few people.

the usual, make sure youve the latest ones, if that doesnt help try and older driver.

I take it you have fully patched both games?
 
Have reinstalled latest, don't fancy going for older ones as it messed up other things.

Checking patching atm but it is the first decade editions.

Just incase you didnt know, there is an "Options" Config in your Zero Hour Folder inside "My Documents" and if you open it up you can type in your own resolution. Although I have'nt tried it with such a resolution as that. :eek:

Generals never ran that good for me at 1280 x 960

good luck on running it at that resolution without it lagging to death :o

It won't attempt it. It says directx isn't installed/configured if you try it at that high. I'm sticking to normal res.
