C&C3 problem

Hi,

I have been playing C&C3 over the last few days and randomly get slow downs and system resets.

The system just really slows down for 30 seconds. Sometimes it can happen several times in the space of 10 mins other times I can happen once every 20 mins. There is no set pattern. I have also had several instances of the game totally freezing and then resetting the PC.

I had the slow down in crysis as well and put that down to how demanding it is.

System spec:

AMD 4400+ X2 64
2GB Ram
7800GTX
XP

Anyone else having this issue? If not then I guess it must be a PC problem and I really can't be bothered for a fresh install.

I've played about 4 GDI missions from C&C3 with no problems whatsoever. Have you got adequate cooling in your computer?

Considering a re-install only takes 10 minutes tops, why not give it a try? Hell, even if it doesn't cure the problem it'll rule out it being a corrupt install.

I have a bloody big fan in there and its turned up full at the moment.

I have tried reinstalling the game already, no joy. I actually meant an OS reinstall.
