Finally getting round to playing this, but I can't get it to install. I get as far as agreeing to the license agreement, then I just get confronted with an error about a 'registration code installer' (I think) that has 'encountered a problem and needs to close'. After that, the installer tells me that my system was not modified etc and the only option is 'Finish'.

What's up? I've scoured the internet and found nothing. System is an E2180, 2Gb RAM, and a 2900 Pro. Really liked the last C&Cs, so I'd obviously love to get this playing. :o

*bumpity bump*

Nothing? No one? I can't seem to be able to find a way to contact EA without registering with them, which I'm not keen to do, but I s'pose if that's the only way I can get that fixed, it's worth a shot.

sorry i can't help you with your problem as C&C3 worked fine for me untill the 3rd update and now i can't play single player which is all i enjoyed of it.

anyways - i've had problems with contacting EA about when i bought BF2 and i couldn't download the addon packs as my user name i created ages ago was too long for the crappy login screen. couldn't create new account with email already being used so new email new account and then never even got a reply.

have you looked at the C&C3 forums ?

Haven't looked at their forums, but I spent quite a while trawling through all the Google results I could find dealing with C&C3...I assumed that would pick up anything, but it can't hurt to take a look at their forum too. :)

download the game from a torrent site, and install it with your legit key?

I must admit, I was starting to consider that option. It's a massive download though, plus I plain don't like downloading. I did see something on their forum about copying all the files from the DVD and installing them to the hard drive curing various issues, but I can't seem to get it to copy across. I think my DVD drive is having some issues. I'll pull an old one out of a spare PC at the weekend and try copying the files across with that.
