I'm planning to get round to finally choping up my pc7 for watercooling this weekend.. as part of it I'm chopping out the fan grill on the roof for tubing to go through and I want to edge it nicely.

I've seen at another retailer both C edge 6mm and blowhole trim 4mm, the C edge is £2.5 per meter and the blowhole trim is about £0.50 per meter.

Now tbh I only need a couple of meters to be on the ultra safe side although I might buy some spare anyway, neither is going to bankrupt me but 5x the cost seems mad.

Which one do I need?? will the 6mm stay in place nicer?

Do I glue it?

Also, anyone got any idea what size the LEDs are on the front of a pc7?

Use the 4mm stuff, no need to glue it and it works very well. I used some for my Super Lanboy and the front intake of my Aurora. Will probably be ordering some more for the back of the Aurora too, btw you can get these plastic tab things for 8p each from the same place to replace screws and they work really well plus they are black so will match your case.

What about without mate? I've found that if you spend a bit of time cleaning up after the holes have been cut, it will look a lot better than trim imo. I find the blowhole trim to spoil the clean lines of the case.

i agree but i will have pvc tubing rubbing against is and sharp edges mark it. also its anodised black and the cut edge will still be silver.

Cut the hole cleanly and it will look much better than that cheap looking trim. The silver edges are not really that noticeable, or you can just use a black marker pen to paint them. The edge will not cut your tubing so no need to worry.

1) yes it will, I know it won't cut it through but I have lots of experience at this sort of thing, it scuffs it and I don't like that,

2) I'm rubbish at cutting.
