No, and no. To underestimate your enemy is to acquiesce to defeat. It is the power of a mobilised racist organisations to stir racial tensions to create an atmosphere of fear and distrust. They, deliberately, and with organised tactile efficiency dig in to old or benign wounds to create disorder.
Imagine a district where there are a group of 10 friends, and 3 of those friends are out of work. Along comes racist agent x. Agent x shares with these 3 that the problem is polish immigrants coming in and taking our jobs. These poor scrubs are such filth they work for such low wages, not befitting a man of our stature.
Now in reality, these 3 are out of work for a variety of reasons. Maybe its something personal, maybe its bad luck, maybe its socio-economic factors and maybe its a composite reason of many things, but here, agent x has provided these disgruntled men with a tangible reason as to their discomfort. The idea is simple, easy to grasp, and easy to vent frustration at.
The other 7, in reasonably secure jobs, see the discomfort in their friends and try to empathise with them. They learn about the Poles, and that safety and security is that little bit threatened. Maybe my job isn't so secure? If the poles are willing to work for low wages, what's to stop my employer ousting me? Suddenly, 7 other people, miles away from the original issue, start to feel an inkling of racial tension.
The BNP in this example are agent x. They are an organised, top down, cell based institution that actively pursues a racist agenda.
