C++ Steinberg VST 2.4

Okay, so i'm trying to compile the steinberg vst sdk in VS C++ 2010 to no avail.
Has anyone here ever managed to achieve such a feat. I'm not new to C++ but this is like the only SDK which refuses to compile by throwing the most bizarre linker errors when ever it feels like it...

I had figured it out was one of the standard vs libs which was missing for some reason. I was going to post them but then forgot to. Sorry chaps :/
