C Walking - Anyone able to do this?

Anyone with a brain would want to be able to play guitar like you but dance like that? - I don't think so.
My teenage girls said that if anybody approached them and started to dance like that they would walk off the dance floor (or they could break into Riverdance).

Everyone dies, that's true. With diseases like parkinsons disease, the victim suffers through the whole ordeal before meeting the end and I don't think that is something to joke about or laugh at the side effects of such a disease.

I think you and your friend need to seek help, narcissism comes to mind when reading your posts!

Woohoo, i second this. You've (Colin) provided enough video footage for a person to form his or her opinion. If some opine that it looks dumb or a wee bit silly it's up to them, in the same way that you may think it's the bee's knees. It's not really your place to call those who disagree "ignorant", or lacking a functioning brain, certainly not after you have so kindly provided so many references and one is to assume that these have been viewed. It smacks of arrogance on your part...

I assume narcissism is a disorder that people have to suffer with aswell?

Then so be it, maybe I am. I just don't see the point in posting in a thread with nothing but negativity, what do you gain from it?

There was not just negativity in this thread. I believe it was fairly balanced with some liking it and some not. Can't ask for more than that on an open forum.

If you decide to put your ideas out there then you should know you run the risk of some people's opinions not being the same as yours. C'est la vie.

narcissism is a disorder that can be treated. Unlike a disease such as parkinsons which can't. HUGE DIFFERENCE. Not only that but I wasn't saying it as a joke or making a mockrery of the disease.

Hypocrit? I think not!

i can crip-walk in fact i can do most style of urban dancing and before anyone starts dissing - this is a part of urban culture not british culture and im not white, you dont see me slagging off your irish jigs, highland dancing etc so i dont expect to see the same, and yes it does get you loads of birds because believe it or not 95% of the caucasion girls in an urban club dont wanna go home with a caucasian male doing classic caucasian dancing

True enough but when the thread is titled "Can anyone do this" it's not exactley asking for your opinion if you like or not, is it? Therefore reinforcing my point about what is the point in posting in a thread other than for negativity? a lot easier to close the topic page than to click reply and type something.

That's just my 2p (again :D )

People still suffer from it, it migth be able to get cured but not in all cases and not in a lot of countrys around the world.

If it wasnt a joke then what was it? Remember no medical advice on this forum ;)

Hmm and try to find one thread on here over a page long that DOES directly relate to it's title? In discussion, why should ideas and thoughts be limited. You put an idea out there, and people are entitled to follow it up the way they wish.

Problems arise when you begin to take it personally rather than respecting a person's right to comment in any way they like.

In a thread like this, people are looking to be educated, and often a way to do this is to post their opinion in the hope that perhaps it may be changed by supporting evidence from you, the OP. If you retaliate and get defensive, it does nothing for anybody.

why not ? the rest of us do ? you have to understand that to people like myself who believe hip hop is about nothing other than guns gangs drugs sex and money this C walking is nothing more than an extension of its shallow overtly capitalist lifestyle.

Due to blanket shutting down i hardly ever go out now but when i do its normally either tunnel, the crib or 7th heaven

edit - forgot was at b-lo last time pretty good, been to karbon once and it was full of batty boyz
 
Believe me I know about stupid dancing.
During the early 70's I was headbanging, late 70's I was pogo'ing and up until now my favourite dance is still headbanging.
The difference is I know it looks bloody stupid and C-Walking falls into the same category.
 
I agree with locotus12, C walking looks stupid- I've seen guys do it in clubs and it looks even worse in person- hell even the bands themselves say it's not a dance but people are using it like one.

If C walking was just supposed to be a jokey sort of thing then i'd respect it but considering it's being taken seriously then I don't at all!

And Gilly- Locotus12 was on topic, just accept that some people don't like C walking ;)
