C1 theory test

So I've recently had a job offer as an EMT. This requires me to have the C1 on my licence though. I'm quite confident that I can pass the practical as I've been in a job that requires me to drive all sorts of large, long and heavy vehicles for years now.

My concern is the theory test. I've learnt that there's no distinction between the C1 category and general LGV. I'm having to learn all sorts such as load limits, axel set ups, etc. I'm struggling to learn this as I can't find any resources to revise from. The two books I've bought are "the official theory test for drivers of large vehicles" (which is just full of possible questions) and "the official dvsa guide to driving goods vehicles" (which is presented in a way more for advice on the actual driving).

I can't find anything, written similar to the highway code, that has the specific rules relating to the theory test. Has anyone else taken this test? Does anyone have any recommendations for good revision material?

You’ve already got the best information in that guide,I’d take as many practice tests as you can, read your theory test guide until you can memorise it.

I did this when I had my last test (C+E in 2004)

I’ve just tried it again and still managed 46/50.

Here’s a link to practice and simulated “real” tests, have a go and keep practicing. :)
