C1E/EIST and overclocking

Hi,
I have my PC in my room and as such I'd like it to be quite if I'm reading or watching a film. It is however overclocked so the CPU fan is going hell for leather.
Is it possible to have the C1E and EIST enabled so it throttles down when I'm only listening to tunes but goes up to my full o/c when gaming?
My mb is: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3LR and my cpu is: E6320 @ 2.9GHz

Should be fine. I have it enabled with mine (albeit a different board) with no issues at all.

Yup, its enabled on mine as well. Contrary to popular belief, it make no difference to OC stability

I have cool n quiet enabled on mine but it crashes just after boot with c1e enabled.

I think you just have to try and see.

Works fine, 3Ghz on load and 2.5ish on idle. Only knows my multipler down by one.
