C1E / EIST should voltage drop?

Ive got a Asus P5k-E WiFi, ive enabled C1E and Speedstep, the multi drops to 6 at idle but the voltage stays the same anyone got any ideas on how to get it to drop? In my old board (P965-DS3) the voltage used to drop with the multi (using the same CPU). Its overclocked to 3.5ghz at 500mhz FSB, ive also tried setting the CPU voltage to auto instead of manually setting it but it dosent work.

Any ideas?

My P5K-E drops the voltage. Try flashing to 1004 BIOS.

Just flashed to 1004, still the same, i think its cos im overclocked

Must only work at stock, shame on my DS3 it worked ok when overclocked too. Is your chip stock or clocked?

Is your vCore set to *auto* or did u manually set it?

Clocked to 3Ghz, voltage on auto.

Yeah voltage is on Auto at 3.5GHz
