Well perhaps not - but anyone have any idea why the 3rd sensor on my mobo started reading this ?

happened towards end of Orthos run - for the rest of the 7 1/2 hours it was lower than the core temps - which is normal - then over a second it jumped up to 90C ?

I'm asuming its got its nickers in a twist- but any ideas please ?

PC Probe is wildly innaccurate - mine was the other way - read 10c with a 20c ambient . If TAT is reading it ok then it most likely is.

thanks - I was pretty sure that was the case - I've had 0 rpm of fans etc - but its always been fine for CPU temps (as in it doesn't give ridiculous readings - just ones about 5C low)

if you look in speedfan its registering the 3rd CPU sensor as 88C too.

I'll go into the bios and see what thats saying - perhaps that sensor has broken ?

Mark.
