C2D Best Chip per ££££

Afternoon Guys,

Have been looking at upgrading to C2D and am wanting to know which is the best model Mhz per £££

I've seen a Sig in here with someone running a E2160 @ 3.6ghz :S

Wont really be on a massive budget but have set it at £200ish (+ VAT).

Have been looking at the following, which would be better for overclocking?


E6750 - 2.66 Dual 1333FSB - Cheapest
E6600 - 2.40 Dual 1066FSB
E6850 - 3.00 Dual 1333FSB
E6700 - 2.67 Dual 1066FSB
or
Q6600 - 2.4 Quad 1066FSB - Most Expensive

Not quite sure they go in that order in price, can anyone help?

Well,

Maybe I'll save up and go the whole hog at the end of the year.

Does anyone see making the upgrade to an X2 4200 (S939) (and overclocking to 2.8-3Ghz) worth the £50ish?

Will I see an increase?

Ok,

Is the E6600 still a better chip than the E6750?

The E6750 is faster stock and higher FSB and £15 cheaper.

How does that figure?
