Hi guys I've done a little searching but not much has popped up, building a new system in about a month or so for gaming, and I don't know which to pop for. They're both similar price and the 6000 seems to outperform the 6600 by a little. But I heard somewhere Intel are doing price cuts soon? Are AMD likely to match that?

bah, maybe I will overclock, used to love it, took my 1.8GHz Athlon to 2.44GHz on air 
I probably wont take it that far with a C2D though, anyone have any unclocked/overclocked E6600 benchmarks? There's not many people with a 6000 to have got any feedback from

The main reason I dont want to overclock is that I'm wanting a mainly silent, so not going to have a high performance CPU cooler and quieter case fans.
What coolers are you guys using for overclocking the C2Ds? and how loud are they?
