just recieved mine. however, its my first build and the bit thats perplexing me the most is the application of the thermal paste. i have no idea how much is too little or too much and i cant seem to find a decent illustrated guide. should i put so much on so that you cant see the metal of the processor and heasink or should it be a thinner layer than this

any help is appreciated

im just finding this realy tricky. gotno idea whatsoever how much i should be applying. so, should i be applying it to the heatsink as well.some pics would be really helpful

no, did get the retail but cleaned off the pads straight away as know that thermal paste gives better cooling.
