As title. Are there any c2d mobos around that have memory dividers lower than x 2, so enabling you run the memory at a lower speed than the cpu fsb?
I'm asking 'cos it appears that all the gigabyte c2d mobos only have x 2 as the lowest divider, so if you're using ddr2 400 (800 mhz) memory, thats the lowest you can get your memory to if you're overclocking to 400mhz fsb on the cpu.
All the old amd a64 mobos had those divders that enabled you run the memory a lot lower rthan the fsb (to enable low speed, but tight timings), why don't these c2d mobos give you this option, well gigabyte mobos at least.
Cheers.
Edit: Just read that memory dividers lower than x2 will not work with the 965 chipset, this correct?
