C2D Protector

Hi

I need to RMA a mobo - but OCUK says I MUST put the protector thing on the CPU socket for the Core 2 Duo COU in order to send it back.

Now, I looked in the mobo box (godo thing i didnt chuck it as i was just about to and i found two items.

Now one of them is a plastic thing that was on the mobo before and has a sticker on it and says this must be put on the mobo when sending it back - so i will figure out how to put that back on.

I also have another thing - black - i am not sure where its from. It may have been from the actual CPU and I put it back in the mobo box.

can anyone advise which bits i need and how to put them, back on?

That's what you need. And it clips onto the socket hinge.

do u know what the balck thing is?

How shoudl i store the C2D while the mobo is away?

The black thing clips onto the back of the CPU to protect the contact pads. Put it on and store the CPU somewhere safe.
