hi there, is there much difference between the c2d and amd x 2 939 processors at stock settings? same kinda money?

the reason i ask is i'm considering buying a sn25p shuttle becuase i can get it for £140 quid, and it'll still handle a decent gfx card.

if i went c2d then it would cost me £300.

i realize the c2d is the better processor because it can clock well, but in a shuttle it's not that easy to clock them? what do you think guys?

also what would you say my shuttle is worth?

if i went sn25p i would be able to keep everything but the cpu and gfx card wouldn't i?

looking for the cheapest upgrade that i will see a sig difference, and that i can use the forthcoming gfx cards with.

cheers guys:)

email me supercow and we'll talk:)

on the other point, no another amd wont fit in mine, was thinking of picking up an old sn25p off the bay and then putting a x2 in it .... also just upgrading the shuttle, chip and ram.

not too sure about the sugo route although i understand they are good for upgrading .... which would be nice, however they aren't that much cheaper than a second hand sn25p are they?

spec me a new one with the bits you think and i'll have a look:)

anyone care to value my current kit for me?

thanks guys

looking good, would ahve to swap that hard drive though to either a wd , sammy or seagate ...

care to give me a ball park figure on what i'd get for mine?

i can probably get a sg37p2 fr the same money as that, hmmm , not sure about the sugo, is it a lot bigger?

my cheapest route is deffo the upgrade to sn25p route, but hmmm , still not sure, convince me people:)
