Want to put a new fresh set of pads and disks all round on our C55. Genuine MB is about £360,and a set of Pagid/Bosch online is about £240.
Am i just being being tight looking at pattern brake parts when genuine parts are so cheap (For an AMG!)

If you own an AMG then you shouldn't be trying to save a few pennies. My front set are around £1500, so be thankful that yours are so cheap :p

In all honesty I doubt you will notice a difference in performance...unless you take your car to the track.

most manufaturers pads/discs are from the likes of pagid/textar anyway

I changed mine on the Cayman bough textar for 1/3 price of Porsche ones, when I took the originla fit ones out the said textar on and had same part number

This. I got Blueprint discs and pads all round for the S2000 for £110. It's £75 for one front disc from Honda.

Genuine pads and disks are 150 from cox parts

I've just put blueprint disks (£75) and Oem pads £45(eBay) on mine.

TBH the price doesn't seem too bad for a fully fledged AMG model.

I have to buy my discs direct from Toyota as their pretty bespoke to the model and then I get grooves cut into them. That comes out to around £330 plus a full set of carbotech pads imported from the states for £260.

£160 and that's just for fronts. Unless you had a discount code.

Cox is £300 for pads and discs all round. Blueprint was £110. Significant saving but I'm not 100% sure how much better the Honda items are than BP. Probably unnoticeable without visiting a trackday or two.
