I was going to pick up a Cambridge Audio 540R this weekend but whenI was double checking the price, I noticed the the 340R is quite similar spec wise but cheaper. The only differences are:

340R
5.1
no dts-ES
power rating of 50w x 5

540R
6.1
dts-ES
power rating of 80w x 5

The 340R is about £80 cheaper so I was wondering if it was worth paying the extra £80 for the 540R over the 340R?

EDIT: I'm currently only running 2 front speakers at the moment.

The 540R is a fair bit more powerful than the 340R, though the 340R packs a pretty decent punch on it's own!

Try and find a V2 540R if HDMI isn't a necessity, under £200!

Almost impossible to find now though but a damn bargain if you can. Only heard of a few silvers being available in the odd branch recently.
