Hi all..

Does anyone know where i could get a eval version of computer associates software delivery and osim?

What do any of you experience admins out there use to deploy operating systems and deliver apps?

And on esxi 5 using vsphere client am i able to test OS deployments? would it network boot and install?

Im looking at playing with enterprise solutions rather than cd/usb type things... It all for educational purposes not to be used in a real environment...

I've had a reasonable amount of experience with Windows Deployment Services, which scales quite nicely. It's a bit of a faff getting drivers injected but it's worth the effort.

Alternatively, try WDS (as mentioned in the above post) with MDT.

And yep you can create and PXE boot a VM running on ESXi, providing you've injected the NIC drivers into the WinPE image.
