.cab Extractor

Hey guys,

I've got a disc of clipart at work which requires 'installing' before you can access the individual files - I don't really want to do this; is there anyway of extracting the contents of the 2x .cab files (I know that's where they're hiding!) and just make a more accessible folder out of that?

Most Zip programs should be able to look inside the CAB files, try something like 7zip, should do the trick.

Yeah unless it's a funky nonstandard cab file 7zip can rip it right out

Isn't there a command in windows call extract

I.e. extract filename.cab

Didn't want to know... we tried winrar and 7zip!

I was wondering if one of the other files had something to do with it?

If that's not worked, try this..

Start, run %temp%

Press enter

Clear out the temp folder, but keep it open,

Now run the setup.exe and the cab file might be extracted into the temp folder
