Assuming that I wont ever use the home phone to call anyone (therefore not actually needing it) does this mean that cable broadband would always be cheaper?

As with ADSL you need a BT line and therefore a monthly rental of at least £11?

Just saw that with NTL you can get broadband for £17.99 a month so a lot cheaper than any ADSL provider (after the addition of the £11 monthly rental).

Pretty much, unless you go with some WLR/CPS provider that'll charge less (IIRC One.Tel run offers for cheaper line rental, others too)

Thought as much :( Cheers for the reply.

I'll look around for some other providers that can charge less - any off the top of your head apart from one.tel?
