Hi Guys ,

Many Thanks

Braid is measured with nominal diameter. For fan cables 4mm would be good, paired with 3.2mm heatshrink (2:1 ratio). For larger cables, work out the diameter and buy accordingly.

I used 4mm sleeving for all my PSU cables and fans with 4.5mm 3:1 ratio adhesive lined heatshrink.

I've tried using the non adhesive stuff but I found it was pretty poor compared to adhesive lined heatshrink.

::edit::

This was sleeving the wires individually, for my SATA data cables I used 10mm sleeving with 12mm shrink.

4mm braid for psu/fan cables with 5mm heat shrink (2:1) is what i went with. as for sata cables think i used 10mm braid with 15mm heat-shrink (3:1). or you could just do as stated above and get some NZXT pre-braided cables :D, good luck.

Not sure what size you need tbh.
You should check these out though.

Pre braided cables

I would say that this is cheating but only because I only noticed it on the site the day I started braiding my PSU the old fashioned way :D

Anyway to answer the question - I would generally just go for the smallest braiding available to you for the individual cables - they are really small and thicker braiding would make your job harder.

I used 4:1 heatshrink with small braid for individual wires and 3:1 for the SATA.

For black sata cables, i was fortunate enough to have quite a few left over from a dead evga 680i board, same for molex to 2 x sata connectors, about the only good thing about that board.
