Cable braiding

None yet :D

Its something I want to use when I (finally) get to start my new build. In fact that's something else I don't really know, and didn't know that I didn't know.

What kind of cables *can* you add the braiding to?

Most "good" psu's come with braided cables so you won't need to do those. Heat-shrink is probably better for fan cables and the like in order to give you a tidy case.

You can braid anything assuming you can get the plugs ogg / slide the braid over the plug. You can either cable tie and/or heatshrink it. I use heatshrink. Ive done quite a few and its pretty easy to do.

It can be fiddly.....try & source stuff with the braid ready done....will be easier & neater

You used to be able to get replacement Molex plug ends on Overclockers that came with a tool to release the cables.
Can't see them now though.

A small screwdriver will also do the job. Just make sure the cables go back in their correct positions.
