can someone just confirm please is this

the ribbon cable thing that you stick in the back of your dvd drives ? then goes to the mobo ?
if you wanted to extend your current ribbon to make it longer would this do the job ( providing it is what i think it is )

just thought of something tho
how would it work as an extension ?
if my current ribbon has the main socket that goes into the mobo then 2 sockets comming off it going into the dvd drives, would this extension ribbon just connect into one of the 2 sockets from the origional ribbon ? then go into drives ?

just spoke to ocuk and it wont work as an extension
just hope its long enuff, im sure it will be

What case have you got?
It should be long enough, just short of a metre.
Yes you replace your existing cable with this.
