Hello,

I am looking to do a cabling course for networking and just cable's in general, Where is the best place to look for these?

Thanks
Dave

I'm not sure you could find a course for just cabling, it's pretty easy to self-teach, though?

Just grab some cable, crimps, rj45 plugs, and perhaps some DIN sockets and an IDC tool?

You can attend courses for cabling. I'm looking to introduce a basic cabling / installation hands on course as part of the telecoms courses I present. Looking to do this over the next 2 or 3 months hopefully.

In the meantime, check out Cablenet training in Bury St Edmunds - highly recommended training centre:

Specifically, this may be the course best suited for to your needs Pandiut_Certified_Installer_2day.pdf

Not sure on their pricing structure off top of my head.

Any reason why you are specifically looking at a training course?

N+ teaches you jack all about cables.

it covers basic knowledge of cat 1-6 and pin outs for straight through and cross over but something you could easily google.

If you want to know what pinouts are on different cables try looking at The Hardware Book. Been using that in one form or another for a long time - used to be a download and run on your PC, now its a website.....how times change!
