Hi All Not sure if this is in the right forum , but i have a graphic card with a DVI Connection ,and my monitor has both DVI and HMDI , can i use the HMDI on the monitor with an adapter to my DVI on the card ? and still get HMDI ?:confused:

Why yes, yes you can. But why would you want to? Wouldn't it be simpler to just use DVI-DVI without any adapters?
 
That cable would also be fine, but, why do you need it to be HDMI? There's no benefit to using HDMI over DVI. They're exactly the same, just using different connectors.

Thanks , yeah again good point , seems that i was told HDMI was better ,and in fact its the same ..;)
 
HDMI is exactly the same quality as DVI, the difference is HDMI carries audio signals too, thats why theyre used on TV's, where as PC's have their own speaker set up so use DVI
