Hi

Sorry for being a cable internet newbie, a question regarding cable modems and network setups

I have a Netgear DG834GT ADSL wifi 10/100 router running on adsl at home at present - i shall be looking at getting virgin cable instead, will i be able to plug a cable modem into this router and (with standard config) get it routing internet to my pc's or will i need a different piece of kit?

Cheers

Magic

No, the DG834G can't be used as a router on cable. The Linksys WRT54GL is a decent bit of kit, especially with some of the third-party firmware that's going around.
