Im a neat freak, it has to be said.

My "MESH" case is small and cramped, so there is not anywhere to route the cables, and it gets dusty.

So far, I have got a Tagan Easycon, also I have added dust filters to the front and tried to route the cables.

It still looks really messy in my opinion.

I bought a can of compressed air, what worries me is that it says - "Dont spray directly onto electrical equipment" when the auction clearly stated its fine for PC's?

Its fun though, played with it and a ant, making it fly :).

I need some zip ties also, where can I get em from? Most of the corner shops here dont have them and Im confused as to where else to look!

Re: Zip Ties

Do you have a Chiltern Mills near you ? I got a box of 500 ties in different colours for £3.

Otherwise, Wilkinson's is a good source, B&Q maybe.

B&Q sell a big plastic jar of assorted sizes and colours for a couple of quid.

Thanks for the replies.

I will check out BnQ, thanks!

Also, I will hold the can upright, but if I do get some liquid substance on my equipment, is it alright just to leave it for a while and let the liquid evaporate?

Also, how is playing with a ant bad karma? Im seriously interested! (Watched My name is Earl a lot!)

Karma works on the 'Do unto others (incl. other species)' or what goes around comes around principles.

Hence, if you blast an ant with a high pressure chemical spray you accrue bad karma as there was no need to do it to protect yourself or to eat it - you did it for fun. You may have killed the ant, or just shortened it's lifespan, but you interfered with another lifeform in a bad way for your amusement and that will bring bad karma to you.

Sorry - I potentially should have mentioned that certain Buddhists believe that the karma is multiplied by the power differential between entities ie. killing an ant brings more bad karma than killing a human, but other forms of Buddhism turn that around completely and one form thinks there is no difference ie. a life entity is a life entity.

Yeah killing insects is pretty disturbing - most psycho's start out pulling the wings off flies, then they usually torture the family pet to death before moving on to small children...

It's fundamentally about respecting all life - no matter how insignificant.

Actually - I used to go out with a Bhuddist, she was a lovely person, as most of them seem to be. Perhaps in my next life?

I actually think that David Carradine in Kung Fu is a better Bhuddist role model than Earl!

I used to shoot the wings off butterflies with a BB Gun, does that make me a bad person? :o

I don't know - lets try the checklist (these are real 'spot the psycho questions')?

Do you ever feel superior to other people?
Have you ever thought it might be cool to capture the next door neighbour and keep her locked up in the basement?
Do you regularly play violent video games?
Do you own a large knife (blade greater than 9" in length)?
Have you ever derived sexual gratification from watching an animal dying or being slaughtered?
Is there a Discovery Channel film crew outside your home, unreeling cables?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions and you're fired a BB gun at flies, then yes, potentially you're a bad person.

Sometimes.

Have you ever thought it might be cool to capture the next door neighbour and keep her locked up in the basement?

I dont have a basement... but if i did, hmm...

Do you regularly play violent video games?

Is being a Kamakazi driver in Live For Speed considered violent?

Do you own a large knife (blade greater than 9" in length)?

I dont have anything thats bigger than 9 inches. :(

Have you ever derived sexual gratification from watching an animal dying or being slaughtered?

Dude, that's just wrong!

Is there a Discovery Channel film crew outside your home, unreeling cables?

*Checks*

Nope! :D

There's evidence to suggest that those who harm animals go on to harm humans. Many of the worst serial killers had a history of animal cruelty.

Not all canned air is anti-static - so it effectively becomes a chip killer. I know this because we had loads of it at work that we had been supplying to our engineers but had to stop. So we got it. Lots of fun sneaking up on people whilst they were on the phone - quick blast down their neck, victim squeals, victim tries to explain to customer :D

How doI find out whether mine is anti-static or not?

P.S- This thread has gone terribly off topic!!!
