In mine (original CM690 dominator from last year), with my modular psu, I was able to do decent cable management, barely getting the side cover on over the side where all the cables are pulled through, but with brute force, I was able to fully clip it down. Right now, I've replaced with a non modular psu and because of the extra cables, can barely get the side cover on. The bottom clips won't meet, there's a bit of a gap, but the 2 cover screws are holding it. Inside the case is ok but not as tidy as it was with the modular psu. Anyone else have this issue or did you find a way to get really clean cable management?

Well seeing as I've now had experience of the OCZ I bought from OCuK dying after 15 months, I'm making use of their 3 year warranty and doing an RMA direct with OCZ. So since XFX offer a 5 year warranty, I think I'd be wise to keep it intact. :p

You won't be able to get the side panel on really, really easily with all the cables running through the back there. That's why on the new model they made the gap wider. However, it is possible, provided that you fasten the cables down very tightly. Try zip ties and adhesive tie mounts and you should be able to do it. You'll have to push the top and bottom of the side panel down as well when you put it back on.

Cheers lamboman. Yep, I do push down on the cover as well as sliding it, though it's awkward. That's how I got it on with the previous cables, and even then it was very tight.

Interesting, didn't know the newer cases had allowed more space for cables. This might sound silly, but can too much pressure pushing down on cables do damage or even constrict them?

Rather slow reply here, sorry! If you still need help...you're unlikely to do any damage to cables like that, you should be fine :) As long as you aren't doing anything ridiculous, you aren't going to run into any issues :)

Cheers lamboman. Do you think I can fit the cats in too? :D

Aslong as you spread the unused cables out, and try to get them as flush with the back of the motherboard tray, there shouldnt be a problem, ive got a nonModular PSU and got all the cables run through the slot, the back panel is a bit of an issue sometimes, however if you push down on the centre of the panel at the same time as sliding it on, it should pop in without a problem.
