Cable options for EVGA 650W G2

Hey all,

So I built my new PC over weekend and everything was going great until I started on the cabling... Having bought an EVGA 650W G2 GOLD 80+ PSU and an EVGA 1080 GPU, I expected these to be the easiest to connect! So the PSU came with 2 x 6pin to 6pin (PCIE?) cables and my GPU needs 2 x 8pin connectors. Luckily the GPU came with some supplementary connectors so I can power the GPU, but I now have a fugly bundle of cables/connectors sat between GPU and PSU shroud.

Also the 24pin cable is so thick it keeps popping the back door open, though this is as much to do with rather crappy magnets supposed to hold the door closed.

So ideally I'm after 2 x 6pin to 8pin cables and 1 x 24pin cable. Can anyone suggest either a cable set or individual cables compatible to my PSU please? Ideally neutral colour - white/grey/black. I've spent an hour going through OCUK site and can't see any that are either in-stock or still available? Is the G2 going end of life soon? (it was on sale I guess)

Appreciate any/all help!
 
That psu should have 6+2 cables for the gpu's with a further 6 pin coming off that, see here. This means that you would have to use both pci-e leads for your 2x 8 pin plugs but they are there. If you don't want to have the bulk of the extra cables on view get a couple of 8 pin pci-e extension cables and plug them into the 6+2 pin plugs. Same with the 24 pin as cable extensions tend to be a bit more flexible. The downside is that you now have more cable to hide in the case. A couple of these for the gpu and one of these for the 24 pin would do the job.

Thanks mate, I was looking in the separate cable mods section... Yeah I used the short extension cable that came with GPU to try and hide the PSU cables with the extra plugs hanging off. I can hide the mess under PSU shroud and have them nice extensions on display! Thanks for the help!

Yeah, the PSU cables are nicely braided up to about 2cm's from the end and then have the plastic covered wires exposed, shame they did not fully braid them!

Can I just double check, are all extension cables compatible? As I presume they are maintaining the pin layout? I've seen these silver ones that would match my mobo a real treat:

and then noticed this one:

Is that the cpu lead you mentioned? may as well get them all looking nice ;)

Brilliant, thanks so much for your help mate. I saw the black/red and they looked nice. I got the rgb strip in my Phanteks mATX case though, so want to keep things neutral. I may even post a pic of my build once I have hidden the embarrassing cabling lol
