Hi, this is probably a stupid question, but what adapter / cable is required to connect the HDMI output of my graphics card to a DVI-D input of a monitor.
Am I correct in thinking I need a DVI-D *male* to HDMI *female* adaptor (I already have a HDMI cable, which I'm currently using)?
Also, will using a converter result in poorer quality than just using a DVI-D cable? (My graphics card also has a DVI-D output, but my laptop only has HDMI and VGA, hence why I was thinking about an adapter - so I can swap between them).
Finally, does it matter if I buy a 99p adaptor off Fleabay vs. a £5 adaptor? Will there be any difference in the quality of the picture I get on the screen?
Thanks for anyone who takes the time to answer.
