Is this possible and will it work :D

Internet is ADSL (can't remember the supplier) and it goes into a ADSL router which doesnt have wireless.

I have an belkin router with wireless which i used with my VM setup. Can i attach the cable router WAN port to one of the network ports on the ADSL router to give wireless access?

Yes but you'd be better off connecting it to one of the LAN ports (also disable DHCP on the Belkin, make sure it's on a different IP address to the ADSL router and one outside its DHCP range) and avoiding the dual-NAT setup you'd get chaining the two routers.

Doing it via the lan port.....

how would i tell a pc that is connected via the second router that it connects to the internet via the first router?

Because without DHCP enabled, it is basically a switch / access point so anything connected to it will just go back to the router, as if it was connected directly to it.
