My mum has a nice new 50" plasma. I've noticed that cable tv doesn't look very good.

Upon investigation it looks like the cable box is scart. What better connection types are there with cable do you know? Or is it a case of 'time to move over to sky?'

EDIT: Wrong forum. Make yourselves useful and answer anyway ;)

I'll check about the RBG later.

The TV is HD 'Ready'. Although i know there has been a lot of stigma over the word 'ready'.

I was just wondering if telewest or sky have a better connection type than scart (unless scart is known for being good that is)

You also need to make sure it's a 'fully wired' Scart lead to do RGB over Scart.

But why doesn't she get one of the new HD 'TV Drive' boxes from Telewest? Then she'll get the full benefit of her 'HD ready' TV, plus Telewest's equivalent of Sky+ :)

I'll ask them how much to upgrade :)
