So wanted to do some cable sewing but get about 3 steps in to any tutorial and get confused at complex knotts or other equally annoying things? Yea me too. So I worked out my own way which lets you sew your cables together nicely, regardless of size in about 5 minutes, really, that easy.
Here we go.
1) Grab 3 of these back plate things, to keep things simple and cable tie one end.
2) Insert them to separate the top and bottom row of cables and tie the other end
3) Move it further up than your working, but sitll close enough to keep things tidy for you.
4) Somewhere in the middle of the pack of cables, tie your thread of choice to a cable in the bottom row. I used black fishing line as it allows you to really pull things tight without worrying about if your gonna snap the thread.
5) Pull it out through the middle.
6) Go over the top of everything
7) Then go under everything
8) Then go inbetween the 2 rows for 2 wires and come out the bottom.
9) Then come back towards yourself
10) Pull it tight. Use your fingers if needs be just to line everything up
11) Now separate the nearest 2 cables to you, and go up between them from the bottom and out the top.
12) Loop over the top of your thread which you did in step 6 and go back down
13) Pull it tight.
14) Separate the next 2 wires along and go up between them
15) Over the top and back down.
16) Repeat for as many rows as you have.
17) When youve done the final up and down, split the final 2 wires and go out the middle.
18) And back in the middle then out the bottom
19) Pull it tight and tie it off or tie it to somewhere in your case, upto you.
Done
