Just started to pull fans out and sleeve em up (fortunatly only 2 so far)

nicely removed the 3 pin fan endy conector bit, taped the wires up & fed them through the nice UV reactive Vantec Cable Sleeve, which was less hassle than i though it would be...

Cut of a bit of the narrowest heatshrink, slid it over to were it need to be, heated it up & it's doesnt shrink enough :(

Back to good old reliable spiral wrap :p

I did use the smallest one i the pack (1.5cm across when flat on the desk)

Just tries another bit on the end of a screw driver, and it's shrinks small enough :o

i didnt heat it consistantly, i stopped half way through!

Dam, already ripped of the sleeving and start spiral wrapping! :D

Cheers

I found the heat shrink that comes with the kits is pretty poor stuff, you can pick up a decent pack from ebay with lots of different sizes. I found it a lot better to secure the ends of the braiding with zip ties? and then put the heat shrink over that, as this will hold it all in place a lot better, i purchased 200 zip ties from ebay for a quid :D . I found the best way to shrink the heat shrink was in front of a gas fire, or using a decent hairdryer on full heat.
Spiral wrap looks rubbish IMO, if you take your time with the sleeving you will get a decent job and it'll look excellent.
